> Megan Mazarick
Megan Mazarick received her MFA from Temple University in January 2007 and has been an active performer, teacher, and choreographer in the Philadelphia community since 2004. In addition to performing and choreographing in Pennsylvania, her work has been presented in California (ODC Theater), West Virginia (Gooseroute Dance Festival), Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University), North Carolina (North Carolina Dance Alliance, Meredith College, University of North Carolina, and Bickett Gallery), Minnesota (Southern Theater), New York (Triskelion Arts, Dance New Amsterdam), New Jersey (Rowan University) and Australia (PICA Gallery). She is also a dance filmmaker, creating short dance films and video design for her dances through explorations of video editing and projection. Currently, she teaches at University of the Arts and is the Community Class Coordinator for nEW Festival. Layering intricate movement material with visual design her dances are usually dark comedies based on mundane events.
