Writing Man Productions, who brought you the hilarious Starlight Supply in 2007 and the touching Strawberries & Jellybeans in 2008, presents ‘Ships, a romantic comedy about two brothers, Noah and Chip, their housemate Dillon, and Chip’s girlfriend Joanna, who go on a wild exploration of love, family, friendship, and outer space!

Writing Man Productions was founded in 2007 by Philadelphia playwright-turned-producer Shawn O’Shea.

Corbin Abernathy, Philadelphia actor/singer/director, directed the company’s first production, Starlight Supply. With Corbin preparing the actors, Shawn on funding and rewrites, Writing Man Productions ended up producing one of the better-received shows during the 2007 Philly Fringe.

Shawn and Corbin decided to immediately work together on Writing Man Productions's next offering, Identity Theft, during Memorial Day weekend, 2008, in the cabaret space at Philadelphia Plays and Players. While the second play was in production, Shawn was already adapting into a play another of his short stories, Strawberries & Jellybeans.

2009 will mark Shawn’s transition to directing: Starlight Supply will be revived for the first Philadelphia GLBT Arts Festival hosted by Traverse Arts Project.
