T-shirts and buttons have long been used by activists to express political statements. However, with changing times, more effective measures must be taken. Philadelphia-based Ban All Nukes Generation takes the global urgency for nuclear weapons disarmament and nonproliferation to a new level in their interactive performance, Atomic Catwalk.
The Atomic Catwalk is hosted by Project for Nuclear Awareness' (PNA) youth network, Ban All Nukes Generation-USA (BANG-USA). This network creatively works to end the global threat of nuclear weapons through outreach, activism, and collaborative research.

Atomic Catwalk Coordinators:
Now grateful for those once bemoaned hand-me-downs, Kim-Thao Nguyen enjoys making the most out of limited resources—from fashion to activism. As the assistant director of PNA, she works to fuse creativity and community into the nuclear issues. Kim recently organized BANG-USA’s international multimedia exhibit, The Art of Disarmament.

A thrift store enthusiast who loves to rip shoulder pads out of old 80s numbers, Emily Gleason is a hairstylist-turned-disarmament and environmental activist. A research associate at PNA, she is currently organizing an International Youth Dialogue for Nuclear Disarmament, which takes place October 26–27th.
