A movie theater is where magic happens, and behind the concession stand is where you'll find the real drama! Now Showing is an uproarious comedy about the staff of a run down movie theater. This multimedia cinema experience is complete with zany trailers, ridiculous characters, and jaw-dropping musical numbers.

Casaburdan Productions is a new theater and production company based in Philadelphia, established in 2009. They are an experimental project utilizing multimedia, satire, and drag to shed light on today's political and social issues. The two founding members, David Burgess and Kevin Jordan, had already worked on several productions in the Philadelphia area when they decided to start Casaburdan Productions. Past clients include The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Philadelphia Film Society and The Philadelphia Cinema Alliance. Their first original show entitled Wake Up Philadelphia, was a satyrical look at the Philadelphia morning news broadcasts, debuting in the Philly Fringe Festival in 2009.

This year's production, Now Showing: In Real to Reel Live Action 3-D! features a troupe of 6 actors and 2 actors/producers, who play over 70 characters. They appear both on stage and in video, as we take a look behind the concession stand in a run down movie theater.

By contributing to this project, grantors and donors help fund Casaburdan Productions' theater projects, public performance art, and film projects, as well as website upkeep and artist alliance fees. Casaburdan Productions is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization.
