Philadelphia Live Arts Festival & Philly Fringe

Changes to the printed Festival Guide

Each year, after we go to press with the Festival Guide, a number of artists have to make changes to their schedules so that by the time the Guide is printed it is already out of date. Unfortunately, sometimes we also make mistakes in the Guide. The corrections listed here are to serve as a convenient tool for those who have a printed Festival Guide to highlight those changes in one place. All these changes are also incorporated into the website.

All show cancellations, additions, or changes of any kind that need to be made during the run of the Festival will be posted here as well as at the Box Office.  Please check here before making your ticket purchases so that you have the most up-to-date information available on all Festival programs

Guide Description Corrections

A number of show descriptions in the printed Festival Guide were in error, and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused the artists and our audience. The correct descriptions are below.

Fringe

30 Minutes 'till Om, Half an Hour from Mo (The Cardboard Box Collaborative)

Tonight, the much awaited Ultimate Harmony of Being is a half-hour in grasp. But once reached, it can be so hard to hold on to – especially when our clock never stops ticking.  Follow these few lucky travelers on their journey towards perfection, and what waits beyond.

The Enchanted Lake (Coatesville Cultural Society & International Institute for Theatre Research)

A dramatic fable told in four parts: Priestess: born to misery; unable to rise above it. Virgin: valued for purity; forever confined to her pedestal. King: betrayed by his woman; seeking revenge. Great White Father: keeping the world safe. Together their stories are a meditation on the power of illusion.

The Rise and Fall of 16 Tons Theatre Company (16 Tons)

This original stage "mockumentary" documents the career of the greatest theatre company in the world. Who?........From humble beginnings, to international celebrity, to inevitable downfall and ruin.  Wait...........Who?  Clowning, puppetry, film, mask, music and mayhem. We relive the legacy that is, was, and forever will be 16 Tons Theatre Company.

Roach (Ontik)

One cold, dark morning, the clock ticks, the alarm screams, the Boss paces, and you struggle to get out of bed.  Your SIX LEGS flail about in all directions…Something has gone horrifyingly wrong!  Welcome to the new you.  Welcome to your nightmare...........A darkly comic exploration of Kafka's classic tale.
