The Live Arts and Philly Fringe Box Office is located at 620 Chestnut Street, between 6th and 7th, one block west of Independence Hall. Like many streets in Philadelphia, Chestnut St. is one way, and runs east. 6th St. runs south and 7th St. runs north. GETTING AROUND PHILADELPHIA
The name of our local transportation system is SEPTA. SEPTA fare for the bus and the subway is $2.00 in cash (exact change only). Tokens are $1.30 each. Tokens can be purchased by machine or from a cashier in most subway stations (the stop at 5th and Market has a cashier) and at United Check Cashing on Market Street between 3rd and 4th.

The Market-Frankford subway line (also called the "El" or the Blue Line) stops at the three major train stations and at 5th and Market Streets, two and a half blocks from the Box Office. It also runs to 2nd and Spring Garden Street, near the Cabaret.

SEPTA buses are widely used to get around the city. A handy route during the festivals is #57. It runs north along 3rd St. and south along 4th St., making it convenient for travelling between Old City (where most venues are) and the Cabaret.

Cabs are pretty easy to find in downtown Philadelphia. Hey can be harder to find in Northern Liberties, where the Cabaret is. If you need to call for a cab, try:

BY BUS
The Philadelphia Greyhound Bus Terminal is located at 10th and Filbert, just north of the Gallery and Market East Station at Market St. It services all bus lines, including Greyhound, Peter Pan, and NJ Transit. The "Chinatown" bus is the cheapest to travel between Philly and New York. Tickets cost $20 roundtrip. Two "Chinatown" bus lines service Philly, stopping around the corner from the Bus Terminal and Market Street East station. . One stops on 11th Street between Cherry and Arch. The other stops on 11th Street between Arch and Filbert. Go to

BY LOCAL TRAINS
All SEPTA Regional Rail Lines run through Philadelphia's three major train stations:

BY PLANE
If you are flying into Philadelphia International Airport, you can take an express train from the airport using SEPTA. The R1 Airport Line runs from the airport through Center City, and stops at the three main train stations:
